Tenth Generation

In the city. For the city. To the tenth generation.

We’re committed to being a church in the city of Nashville, for the city of Nashville and the surrounding area. We want to be a home where people of all kinds can meet the real Jesus.

Our Opportunity

Immanuel could potentially purchase 4301 Charlotte Ave.

We have an opportunity to make 4301 Charlotte Ave our permanent home. In a time of rapid growth in Nashville, our church family needs a home base to welcome all kinds of people and spread gospel culture for the good of Nashville - to the tenth generation.

Our Urgent Need

A permanent home base for the continuation & acceleration of the gospel movement of Immanuel Nashville.

Here’s how you can be a part. Three things. Pray, give, and share. Pray, because God loves to hear and answer prayer. This vision is something that only God can accomplish. Give, because your investment helps us close the financial gap and purchase this property. Share, because there are other people you know who would love to get in on this.

Our Vision

A place for gathering all kinds of people.

Nashville is a megaphone city, and Charlotte Avenue is a main artery into Nashville and a crossroads for all kinds of people and neighborhoods, from Sylvan Park to the Nations to North Nashville. 34,982 cars pass by our building on Charlotte Avenue, and 148,000 vehicles pass by our stretch of Interstate 40 each day. Staying on a main thoroughfare like Charlotte Avenue keeps us connected to public transportation and keeps us accessible to welcome all kinds of people to find their way in.

For the Future

For the spiritual formation of rising generations.

Purchasing a property is a gift to future generations. When Immanuel started, there were nine children and one teenager. The amount of kids(325+), youth(110+), and college students(100+) we minister to each year has increased exponentially at the very time when young couples and families are exiting the church in our country. Our investment in a long-term home creates space for these ministries to keep growing and frees future generations from chasing rising lease prices and costly relocations.

Gospel Culture

For helping others into gospel culture near and far.

Immanuel Church has become a local and global hub for spreading gospel culture. Five churches have been planted out of Immanuel and countless more encouraged. Our services, sermons, devotionals, and books have reached more than two million people across the globe. The common thread locally and globally is gospel culture. The right long-term home, like the one available to us at 4301, would dramatically fuel our ability to spread gospel culture locally and globally.

For the City

For the good of Nashville.

The Charlotte Avenue location represents more than a century of God’s faithfulness to his Church. For the last 114 years, Christians have served Nashville for the glory of God from this very street corner, with Park Avenue Church being founded in 1888 and moved to this location in 1909. Losing this strategic outpost for gospel ministry in the city, would be a tremendous spiritual loss for Nashville. But a revitalized ministry on this strategic street- corner could do just the opposite!

FAQ

You can get questions answered through an Immanuel pastor or Immanuel treasurer Rhea Thornton can be reached confidentially at finance@immanuelnashville.com.

Yes. Feel free to give at immanuelnashville.com/tenthgeneration or pledge toward a purchase of this property by emailing finance@immanuelnashville.com

We hope to follow up with you within a week or two. The congregation will continue praying and giving towards the Tenth Generation campaign, and we will continue negotiating towards this option while aggressively looking for other long-term homes for our congregation.

Gifts towards the Tenth Generation campaign will go towards a future long term home. Your pledge is for this specific property. If we are unable to secure this property or find a better option, we will follow up to see if you would still like to give to the new property.

Should we reach our $12M goal, we would reach out and confirm pledged gifts, and pursue a Letter of Intent with Rolling Hills. After acquiring a Letter of Intent, we would present the opportunity for a vote.

Given high interest rates at this time, we are aiming to borrow ~$4 million or less to complete this deal. Conversa- tions with our bank (Pinnacle Bank) helped us arrive at this number.

This is all going to the same purpose. If you have outstanding Tenth Generation commitments that you can give im- mediately or pledge towards future purchase of this property, please include those in this commitment card.
